About
The short version of a long career.
I started writing for the web in 2000 (HTML and JavaScript at a Brazilian media group called RBS) and switched to iOS in 2009, the year the SDK opened up to everyone. I haven’t left.
At RBS I founded the first mobile team and led the move from paper to digital, partnering with backend on the nightly upload that delivered the newspaper to subscribers’ iPads. I sat in board meetings designing the customer transition and worked with product on monetisation.
I taught at the Apple Developer Academy at PUCRS for two years, fifty students, real apps shipped. Apple invited me to demo Xcode Server, code coverage and CI to other Academy sites in Brazil. That’s still one of the highlights.
After Brazil came Portugal: XING and Fuze, working on video and corporate communications. Since 2022 I’ve been in Dublin at Ryanair, on the team that builds the kiosk check-in flow.
On the side I build SpecDrive, an iPad & Mac app that brings Spec-Driven Development to non-technical builders. It’s where I get to make all the decisions, and it’s teaching me a lot about restraint.
